Damian Thorn-Hauswirth has worked professionally in various capacities within the animation industry for over a decade. In 2022, he returned to the University of Central Florida to pursue an MFA in Animation and Visual Effects with the goal of teaching. His virtual reality thesis production, Castle of Unknowing, went on to become a semi-finalist in the Student Academy Awards and premiered at the Ottawa International Animation Festival. His animations continue to be showcased in film festivals and exhibitions internationally.

Damian now serves as Assistant Professor of Animation at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. Through his teaching, he seeks to introduce future creatives to the wide-ranging potentials of moving imagery, technology, and art, inspiring both personal expression and technical expertise.

Damian has two chickens, two cats, and a small garden which he tends to while not working on the computer.
